Nest Pest Control Has Mosquito Treatment That Works!

Mosquitos have been pestering people for thousands of years. Only recently have we been able to exterminate more than one at a time. This has been able to reduce disease as well as increase comfort for people ever since.

Mosquitoes tend to target humans because of the rich iron and protein in our blood. Females need it for their eggs and will bite several people to get enough in the summer. This is how disease is spread via mosquito bites.

We spray a solvent that kills both adult and young mosquitoes where they nest in trees, bushes and other flora. For larval mosquitoes, a granule-based insecticide is needed to treat standing water sources. Alternatively, if the source can support it, guppies are a great mosquito control animal in ponds and even fountains that are deep enough.

I had a yellow jacket infestation around my roofline. The technician had to remove my gutters and a wooden board to access the nest, so it was kind of a complicated job. He got the nest out, reattached everything, and caulked the roof so no more bees/wasps can make a nest there. He was very quick and efficient! He even swept up after he was done. Price was fairly reasonable when you factor in that the nest was difficult to access. I’m glad the yellow jackets are gone and I can enjoy my balcony again!

Found a new and thriving hornets nest on the back of my house this morning. I called Nest Pest after reading the great reviews. 4 hours later, two technicians showed up (on a Saturday) and were ready to take on the nest. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and I thought the price was quite reasonable. The job was completed safely and efficiently they provided good education.

Thomas and his coworker were incredibly professional, hard working, and experts at what they do. They impressed not only me, but my neighbor as well who gladly accepted his business card. I’m glad to be in good hands with your technicians and company. I am looking forward to the $65 monthly services to keep the rats away from our front yard. The initial $525 service included eradicating and identifying burrows, and the courtesy follow up (scheduled a week after initial service) is already scheduled. Although the initial service was expensive, it's worth every cent. And $65 a month after is a great deal. Thank you again.

      Did you know…

There are hundreds of species of mosquitoes in the US. Of those, about 12 spread disease. Mosquitoes fall into two main categories: nuisance mosquitoes and pathogenic mosquitos. Both are bothersome.

In Washington DC and the surrounding area, mosquitoes mostly are nuisance, but West Nile virus, Zika and even Malaria have been known to be transmitted by our mosquitoes. Even with control and abatement treatments, it is wise to apply repellant whenever you go outdoors.

      FAQ

Customers often ask us questions about our policies, techniques or our company. Here are a few. If you have another question, call and ask.

How long does mosquito treatment last?
Depending on the population of mosquitoes already present, it could be a month to three months. The more treatments you get, the more time you can wait in between. For this reason, we have seasonal programs just for mosquito treatments that can keep your property free of these pesky creatures from April up through October.
Can I treat for mosquitos on my own?
Yes you can. However, you will need a fogging machine (up to $600) the bifen I/T chemical ($30 per bottle, usually about 10 applications depending on size of yard), the granules or bait pods for any standing water, and all the protective gear that is a really good idea if you are going to do this (goggles, ventilator, overalls, gloves). Finally, you will need to set up the time to do it and keep fuel, oil and other supplies on-hand to run the machinery. Also maintenance.

Or you can call us, sip a lemonade from inside your air-conditioned home (or go to work, whatever you please) and we’ll get it all done for a reasonable cost. Your choice.

Who do I talk to when I call?
You’ll likely speak with James when you call. He is the owner of Nest Pest Control.

The best option to get rid of mice is to call Nest Pest Control. We’ll come out, do an inspection and come up with a plan. Then you can sit back and relax while we take care of all the details!

      What is Nest Services?
Nest Services, LLC is our company’s actual registered name. We have a DBA or trade name of Nest Pest Control Washington DC (and others, depending on your locale) so we can better serve our customers in their location. But it is all the same people here to serve you.
